GENERAL: All rooms and work areas are prepare as to protect carpets, walls, furniture and valuables. Preliminary discussion with customers to verify the final appearance desired as a result of work completed. All material desired to be kept by the customer should be removed before work starts or discussed as to best way of preserving the items. All areas will be vacuumed and furniture placed in approximately the same area as it was found. All debris will be removed daily into our trucks.
WE ASK THAT YOU, OUR CUSTOMER, remove all blinds, drapes and pictures unless you are incapable of doing so or if discussed before work begins. Drapes, blinds and pictures to be rehung by customer unless we are requested to do so. WINDOWS: RETROFIT (Inside the frame): Sashes, glass and wood stops removed. Damaged or rotted wood removed and replaced. Windows are shimmed, levelled and installed with 4” screws to fasten to original framework. Windows insulated with low-expansion foam insulation, sealed and trimmed with cove moulding or other suitable paint grade wood moulding. Exterior is clad with aluminum and caulked. Painting is not included. All nails are set and filled with wood dough. Window stickers will be scraped off, shipping blocks removed and windows will be checked for operation. Exterior caulking will be Mono 830 industrial grade caulking in matching colour (as close as possible). Final discussion with the customer in regards to operation and maintenance. Options available are interior sills, stain grade wood mouldings, corner blocks. These are not included in original cost or description of the installation procedures but can be added on to the contract.
WINDOWS: BRICK TO BRICK (rip out frame): Original window is removed to the original framework, including the removal of old caulking, insulation, and interior trim. Windows are shimmed, levelled and installed with 4” screws. All voids will be filled with low-expansion foam. Interior to be trimmed with primed paint grade moulding, nails to be set and holes filled, ready for paint. Window stickers will be scraped off, shipping blocks removed and windows will be checked for operation. Painting of trim is not included. Exterior Brickmould will be sealed with Mono 830 industrial grade caulking in matching colour (as close as possible). Final discussion with the customer in regards to operation and maintenance. Options available are interior sills, stain grade wood mouldings, corner blocks. These are not included in original cost or description of the installation procedures but can be added on to the contract.
DOORS: Same removal specifications as BRICK TO BRICK windows. The doors will be levelled, shimmed and installed with 4” screws. All voids will be filled with low-expansion foam for insulation. Interior trim will be installed, nails set and holes filled. Exterior finished with wood and Mono 830 caulking in complementary colour (as close as possible). If the door’s framework is vinyl clad, just caulking will be applied or additional aluminum cladding will be installed. Hardware is not included but we will install customer supplied hardware or hardware that we supply. Painting is not included. WARRANTY: WE COVER ALL LABOUR AND PRODUCTS FOR FIVE YEARS. ADDITIONAL WARRANTY MAY EXIST ON PRODUCTS. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ACCIDENTAL BREAKAGE, LACK OF MAINTENANCE AND CARE OR THE ABUSE OF THE PRODUCTS.
