This guide is useful if you have to move a larger item into your home.
You first have to remove the anti-lift weather-stripping from the top track where the two sashes interconnect. There will be a screw that you have to access from the interior and one screw from the exterior. Once the screws are removed, slide the weather-stripping unit towards the outside and it will come down.
You can now lift the moving sash up and swing it in towards the interior.
The screen will now have to be removed. The best way to do this is to loosen the wheels only on the bottom. There are screws on the end of the track, and a Philips #2 screwdriver will work. turn them counter clockwise until the wheels lift with a pry bar ( or similar) on the bottom. The screen door with swing out from the bottom.
The outside sash has to be lifted up close to the frame to free it from the interlocks that are hidden on the end of the sash. While you lift up the sash, pull it towards the center of the frame and it will slide over. Then you can lift it out and swing it in towards the outside or inside.
Once these steps are completed your door opening will be entirely usable.
