Frequently Asked Questions:
Why would a small company like ours advertise on the Internet?
The reason for this is that we offer something unique to the general public and would like more and more people to know about it. It is a method to reach a lot of people on a medium that is becoming more and more a part of life.
What makes us different from other window & door companies?
The main difference is the fact that the owner of the company is the only person you deal with. Terry quotes you the price for your work, does the actual installation, and finalizes the transactions with you. No separate salespeople promising you something the installers cannot give you, no installers that have minimal qualifications or have moved from one company to the next and no hassles on the final bill. The amount billed is the amount you pay. And we supply you with as much information as you need and require, leaving nothing hidden. Easy. Complete. Final.
What qualifications does the owner, Terry, have?
He has been in the industry for 20+ years, trained by professionals, attended courses where he was trained in proper installation techniques and how to maintain a high standard. He is experienced many years of hands-on applications.
Are we members of any trade association?
Yes, S.A.W.D.A.C. which stands for Siding And Window Dealers Association of Canada. We have been members of them for 11 years. Call them at 1-800-813-9616 for our status with them and their high standards, or ask us to ship out a brochure of what they stand for within the industry.
What are the warranties we carry?
We cover all our installations 100% for 5 years, covering all caulking, aluminum, trim, and labour on installed products. Our windows have a life-time warranty on the complete product, including the thermal unit, vinyl components and operating parts. Our doors are covered with a five year warranty on product and paint. Our hardware has lifetime warranty on the mechanism and finish. All door insert glass units have a ten to fifteen year warranty. Aluminum and vinyl products are covered for 20 to 45 years, depending on product.
Are there payment options?
Although we do not encourage people to go heavily in debt to purchase our products, we are quite flexible in allowing payment over a short period of time if required. We usually don’t require more than a 25% deposit on jobs.
When is the best time to get work done?
Although we like working in the spring to fall season best, all of our products can be installed year round. There are usually winter promotions that encourage people to buy during our slow season. During the busier times in the summer, you may have a waiting period of 5-8 weeks before the work is completed.
Why does it take so long sometimes to get the work done?
The main reason is that Terry and his employee do all the work and due to time limitations, can only accomplish so much work in a day. We try to accommodate emergency circumstances but we complete all our work in the order it was sold.
Do we have connections with other contractors for work that we do not do?
Yes. We can recommend many other companies of comparable quality to complete work of a nature that we do not do.
